Some may say she’s an old soul, for as long as she can remember, Stephanie Paterek has been obsessed with living in a different era. Her passion for fashion and art has always been influenced by her love of the 1950's to the gritty punk rock underground of the 70's /80's and that is evident in all things she creates.

In early 2009, Paterek developed her own clothing line, NYC Sex Trash. The vision for her line came from few years in the fashion industry serving as a designer, stylist and artist living and working in the most inspirational place in the world, NYC . Each NYC Sex Trash piece is custom made and hand embellished to mold to and enhance the curves of a woman’s body. Her rock n’ roll style fuses with vintage lingerie, melding together to create one-of-a-kind works of art.

NYC Sex Trash got its big debut at famed designer and stylist, Patricia Field’s yacht party in June 2009. It didn’t take long for other high profile figures to notice Paterek’s unique designs as well. Most recently NYC Sex Trash has been worn by world famous pop star Lady Gaga. The collaboration with Gaga led Paterek to Paris in October of 2010 for the first ever Lady Gaga art show, “Lady Gaga a Gogo.” As one of the featured designers in attendance, a one-of-a-kind bustier she designed was displayed. In December of 2010 her bustier was back in Paris for the second ever Lady Gaga exhibit "Gaga Experience"

Paterek makes it a priority to get out of her design studio and keep in her toe in all aspects of the fashion industry. She works personally with her friend/muse Taylor Momsen, actress and musician, as a stylist for her stage looks, editorial spreads and music videos. NYC Sex Trash is also developing a strong underground following including tattoo and pin up girl, Megan Massacre. Paterek gets her rock n’ roll passion satisfied by styling music videos for bands such as The Gaslight Anthem, Dope and The Pretty Reckless.

Paterek’s work has been featured in a variety of magazines including Filler, Revolver, Rolling Stone, INKED, Marie Claire, GRIT, US Weekly and Hercules.

On the rare occasions Paterek isn’t scouring vintage stores for inspiration and materials, she spends her spare time traveling the world with her musician boyfriend on tour.
